Privacy Policy

PalTable ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PalTable mobile application and related services that connect diners ("Pals") with restaurants hosting group dining events. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, phone, password (stored securely by our auth provider), age, sex, zip code, profile photo, dining preferences, and dietary restrictions.
• Restaurant information: business name, address, menu, event details, and payout details for restaurant accounts.
• Booking and payment data: event selections, booking status, payment amounts, and transaction identifiers. Payment card numbers are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Location: with your permission, approximate device location to show nearby restaurants on the map. You can deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings.
• Device and usage data: device tokens for push notifications (if enabled), app interactions, and diagnostic logs used to operate and improve the service.
• Communications and reviews: messages you send through the app, support requests, reports you submit about other users, and ratings or reviews you post after events.

How we use information

• Provide accounts, bookings, payments, restaurant tools, and customer support.
• Send transactional email and push notifications about bookings, cancellations, and refunds.
• Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
• Improve reliability, safety, and product features.

Third-party services

We use trusted processors including:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Stripe — payment processing and restaurant payouts (Stripe Connect).
• Apple — Sign in with Apple (when enabled) and push notification delivery via APNs.
• Resend — transactional email (booking confirmations, cancellations, and refunds).
• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics in production builds when enabled.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.

Sharing

We share limited information as needed to operate the service: restaurants see guest booking details for their events; other guests may see your first name and profile photo for shared tables as designed in the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. You may delete your account in the app under Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile and associated data subject to legal retention requirements and active booking restrictions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. We do not sell your personal information.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), to limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit requests to ronakk@paltable.com. We will verify your request before responding.

Children

PalTable is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
